Inspiration is lacking, cute brotherly moment

This doesn’t happen often, but when it does, I’m often thrown into a bit of a malaise: I am full-on lacking inspiration for what to eat tonight, I can’t figure out what I want, and it’s very discombobulating. No pasta, nothing sweet (my how the tides have turned, people), nothing too heavy although a tart might be nice. A leek quiche? Or maybe a BBQ night- I have a fantastic recipe for homemade BBQ sauce as well as one for totally delicious baked beans. Hmm, let me noodle on these two ideas.

I must share a darling moment between the boys. They were working with their many tools, and Oliver looked up at Jack in a rather adoring fashion and said, “I love you too, Jack.” Jack said, “I love you too, Oliver, but when you tell someone you love them you don’t say ‘too’. I’d say that back.” It was very dear. Lest you think that harmony persisted, it didn’t for long, but they do love each other, and that is a gift.
