It's radish time again, seeded bread, good wine
/I am not obsessed with radishes, but I think it’s safe to say that my adoration of radish crostini has moved right up there with that of the fava bean version. T is in NY tonight, and I wanted something delicious and comforting but easy. While poking around in the fridge, I saw about 40 pounds of radishes so decided what the heck: I made these last week, I’ll make them again. No risk in T worrying that he’s going to have to love these every week, although I must say that a) he does like radishes prepared this way and b) he is such a good and willing eater with all my attempts.
Tonight I am adding some sautéed radish greens and pea tendrils to the mix and using a lovely three-seed baguette I bought. I looove fennel seed on bread, and this loaf is gorgeous. In addition, peeps, just because you are alone does not mean you should cheat yourself. I’m setting the table, using real silverware and enjoying some refreshing Sauvignon Blanc, the Hall 2009. Buon appetito!
