Turmeric root, tagine a'coming

Y'all, do you agree with my assessment of turmeric root resembling a pupa? Unfortunate. But, upon cutting into it, you are rewarded with an intense orange burst, and I'm pretty excited to have used this in place of the dried stuff tonight. I haven't used my tagine in ages and am excited about that too.
