3 May 2020: Daily Humor + Sink Tomatoes

Y’all, it is with profound delight that I share that Oliver’s sink tomatoes, those of lowly bathroom drain origins, are in the garden AND have their first blossoms. If you were not yet here when the sink plant discovery was made, or you missed that gem, please read the original post here (best done via desktop or laptop rather than mobile, for full effect).

Just look at the promise in those delicate yellow blossoms. You just can’t underestimate nature. Honest to lord, my yard (and my kind neighbor’s yard) are, as always, keeping me sane right now. I have been hand-weeding like a lunatic, and several days ago, Jack and I used scissors to edge, just because. We have the time. It was inexplicably fun.

I hope you are all hanging in. I wonder if anyone will ever again wear a mask for disguise or fun when this is all over. I will not. Did you see that instead of issuing condolences for the nearly 70,000 (I think it’s more than that) dead Americans, trump said he was happy that Kim Jong-un was back? Sweet lord. I despite Agent Orange.

Humor for you today.

The answers here are hilarious! What foods do you think are most overrated?

1 May 2020: Daily Lovely + a humor

And we thought March was interminable. Friends, we’ve made it to May, not that much else has changed. It’s been a hard week. Today starts our eighth one at home, and the national news remains grim.

To counter that, I offer you this: Anderson Cooper welcomes his new son. I am so thrilled for him, and this moved me to tears.

Meanwhile, this had me LingOL.
