America has now lost more than 50,000 of its people to Covid-19, but instead of gravity, humility, and comfort, the idiot-in-chief yesterday suggested that we inject ourselves with disinfectant and/or light. He did say this. Do not let yourselves be gaslit by “it was taken out of context.” It was not.

Friends, Happy Earth Day.

If you haven’t already, run to watch Unorthodox on Netflix. It’s based on (closely at first, very loosely later on) Deborah Feldman’s eponymous memoir, which I read shortly after it was published in 2012. The miniseries is tense and excellent, albeit slightly unbelievable in just a few parts. That said, those moments don’t detract from the larger whole, and I highly encourage you to watch.
