18 March 2020: Daily Humor links

I am very glad that y’all are finding some comic relief in these humor compilations. I had a very down spell both last night and this morning, but I worked in the yard and replanted all my houseplants (I’m gonna live in damn jungle by the time we’re back to normal) and ordered some new plants and supplies for the gardens, and we may never be back to school, but I may be able to feed my neighborhood with various produce, so there you have it. I told Tom he best not react to garden-based deliveries as my sanity is dependent on the outlet that is our yard.

Today’s laugh track:

This little girl is all of us at times, perhaps more regularly of late. I was in hysterics watching her.

Cheers! (OMG, I snort laughed).

Not sure why he has a unicycle, but this is terrific spirit!

This actually could happen in my home:

The boys started distance learning today. It went well overall, and around 4p, we got a supportive letter from our principal who gently reminded families (clearly in response to one or more occurrences today) that when kids are learning via video conference, they should wear clothes. Lol.

Ol is 11; humor break

Friends, I would be lying if I said I’m up tonight. I’m not. I’m tired AF. That said, as moms will, I do believe I ensured Ol had a marvelous birthday today (thank you Tom’s parents for coming over midday to celebrate with us; thank you friends and family for your many calls and FaceTimes), and that is most important. He’s 11, he feels love and feted, and he’s healthy. Winning. Plus Star Wars, in terms of both cake and the release of The Rise of Skywalker.

A few quick comedic shares (as always, things in blue are links: click on them for fun n joy)":

Did these Alabamans find a leprechaun? People, the sketch artist’s sketch. And the guy who says “See a leprechaun, say yay!” Also, the crackhead theory.

And here are some lovely things:

Chicago aquarium closes but lets penguins out to see the exhibits

Our neighborhood is doing a Shamrock Scavenger Hunt tomorrow in which houses place a drawing or whatever of a shamrock in a street-facing window, and kids out for walks with their families can see how many they can find. Ol has ours ready to go! We’re also doing an art show in much the same way- posting art of any kind in windows to share with neighbors walking past.

I’m off to make my baby’s birthday cake- he turns 11 tomorrow! Hope you are all staying well and keeping sane.
