Savory pluot jam

This afternoon, my dear husband came home early to take Jack to Tae Kwon Do, and Ol and I stayed here and made up a jam with all remaining pluots we had hanging around. I wanted to take it in the savory spread direction, and as I love strawberry-black pepper thought I'd start with that idea as my foundation. In addition to some cracked pepper, I added a bit of cinnamon and a splash of almond extract. Oliver declared it delicious, both on and off of shaved pecorino (and I can't wait to try it on Port Salut!). It's also quite pretty, yes? If you're interested, I can post the recipe.

The 2nd annual Circle Yoga Arts Market is coming!

If you attended last year's inaugural artisans market at Circle Yoga, awesome! If not, don't worry, because the second annual market is right around the corner. On behalf of all participating vendors, I invite you to join us on Saturday, September 8, from 1-4p at Circle Yoga (Northampton St, NW, DC). For more information, click here. It was lots of fun and super busy, so mark your calendars now. I'll be there selling tons of organic/local/sustainable canned and baked goods!
