Louisiana weddings, then and now
/8½ years ago, T and I said "I do!" and then partied the night away at the beautiful reception in my parents' backyard.
It is so exciting to see the tents, dance floor, tables and lanterns being set up again for my sister's stateside nuptials. So exciting and beautiful and fun.
And boy do we have a fun evening planned for her tonight...a glimpse!
How To Be a Woman
/Have y'all read Caitlin Moran's How To Be a Woman? It wouldn't be a stretch to call the language a bit crass, but as I myself have a potty mouth, I don't much mind. In any case, it is so flipping hilarious that although I am in the middle of the Houston airport, I am snorting and wheezing with uncontrollable laughter. My entire body is quaking. Chapters 2 and 3 are especially priceless, and I almost couldn't get through the discussion on what women might call their lady-parts, so close was I to laughter-induced hyperventilation. On the serious side, Moran makes some great points.
