Dinner, dessert

I am not going to lie. I am arse-tired. Nonetheless, I have made Christine’s rhubarb recipe for dessert (the link I posted a few days back: rhubarb, white wine, sugar, vanilla bean) and it’s chilling in the fridge looking lovely. Good excuse to open a terrific white wine: Grgich Hills Fume’ Blanc which I have raved about previously. If you’re interested, they’re having an amazing Memorial Day sale on this wine. 35% off of a case and shipping reduced from $85 to $20. Wow! You can bet I immediately bought a case. Looking ahead to the summer peeps, and maybe even a completed deck on which to enjoy this fine wine. Eff.

For dinner tonight, we are having a fabbbbbbbulous pasta dish: shrimp and spaghetti aglio olio (garlic and oil). It’s a ridiculous amount of garlic, EVOO, red pepper flakes, shrimp, anchovies and parsley. I serve it over whole wheat spaghetti because the nuttiness and weightier texture is a great base for the oily shrimpy oozy topping. Thank you Rachael Ray for this delectable dish. 174 5-star reviews friends!
