I made one batch of these coriander sugar babies yesterday, finished what remained for lunch today, and just made a final round with the rest of those gorgeous fresh figs I was gifted. These.are.scrumptious. Now if only I had some freshly made ricotta to spoon these over. Next up!
Oliver and I ran out for a few earlier today, and when we arrived back home, a basket of freshly picked beauty greeted us. Despite the lack of note, I immediately knew who had left this bit of love on my stoop: Foodie Friend C, who has a King Gardener as a neighbor. I've already poached some of these figs in coriander sugar and will put some of the rest in a reduction sauce for steaks tonight. The final few will be paired with Gorgonzola and some chestnut honey tomorrow. Aah...I hope my fig tree produces like this one day!
Aren't these gorgeous?! I just poached them and can't wait to indulge. But for now, off to school and associated jobs...
