The Jack Rose

Summary: This recipe, from The PDT Cocktail Book, is just awesome.

Yield: 1 cocktail


  • 2 ounces Laird’s Bonded Apple Brandy (aka Apple Jack)
  • .75 ounce lemon juice
  • .5 ounce grenadine (in a pinch, use maraschino cherry juice)


Mix the ingredients in a shaker, add ice, strain and serve straight up in a coupe or fun cocktail glass.
