As you might know, I love wine and am an extremely novice collector. More a research, buy and drinker I guess, but hey, life is short. So, I have some fabulous, big Syrahs and Cabs in the wine fridge that are begging for one night stands with grilled filets. As I stop and go in DC traffic on my way to pilates (only typing at red lights or while people ignore the ‘do not turn left before 9:30am’ signs; willful ignorance, people, we know the truth), I’m noodling over a menu that might include roasted asparagus, grilled filet with rhubarb chutney and blackberry pie.
