Peach cake

I just had to have the peach cake, and it was lovely. The recipe called for a combination of AP and almond flours; I didn't have almond flour so, per the recipe tip, ground up almonds until finely chopped. We liked the texture they provided. To the flours, you added sugar, butter, vanilla and almond extracts, peaches and a hefty dose of freshly grated nutmeg. Tom ate his cake warm with vanilla ice cream; I poured just a bit of cream atop mine. Yum. I felt like one of Peter Rabbit's siblings. The scent of nutmeg was most pronounced and a lovely complement to the almond backdrop. This will make a nice breakfast and would also be good with my brandied peaches.
