Meyer lemon, blueberry muffins

People, I am going to be honest. If a babysitter showed up at my door right now, I would accept any and all help she wished to provide. On another note, Oliver insisted that we make a huge batch of muffins this morning, and I was happy to oblige. I think we were all a little pumpkined out, but did we have Meyer lemons just looking so pretty and shiny and in need of use? Yes. Thus, Meyer lemon zest and blueberries went into the mix. I was out of buttermilk so made some by squeezing a generous bit of Meyer juice into regular milk which had the added benefit of infusing even more of its beautiful flavor into the batter. Voila!

Per my lead-off to this post, you may not be surprised to know that after these muffins emerged from the oven, Oliver -who hung on the oven handle most of their baking time- refused to eat one. Grrrrr....
