The biscotti idea was a pretty good fix, actually. I served these with honey which highlighted the flavors imparted by the leeks and scallions. Nice to save some of the lead loaf from a garbage can fate. In the meantime, I readied the grape leaf and yogurt pie -also full of shallots, pine nuts and a medley of herbs- and it's about to emerge from the oven. In theory and in looks, I think I'll love it. Will keep you posted!
