I made an impulse purchase yesterday, albeit one about which I felt quite good. I have been needing (and wanting) a much larger pot than my current largests of 5¾ qt and 6 qt so jumped on a terrific Staub sale for a 9 qt in this gorgeous shade of emerald. Tonight, I christened it by making this lovely sausage and lentil soup, a la AntoniaJames, a foodie friend from Food52. It was the perfect soup on a cold night and looked beautiful in this pot (as a completely aesthetic aside). And I used the sausages I made (and froze) a few weeks back. Fab.
