I woke up dying for the ricotta flan with chestnut honey but did not have the time or will to make the pastry shells. What about a breakfast version with the flan atop chestnut flour crepes? That sounded awesome, and then I spied a lone banana just wanting to be caramelized with butter, brown sugar and a little rum. Mamma mia! The finished product was totally decadent and very yummy. Oliver ate a whole one! Unfortunately, this doesn't photograph terribly well but just image the flavors in your mouth, and you'll get over the actual visual. I will definitely make the pastry shells soon as the textural juxtaposition with the flan is nice!
