It is a stunningly gorgeous, warm day here, so we spent some time working in the yard after building a construction vehicle garage (incredibly big actually due to the extensive collection of "constructions" they've amassed), putting together a kaleidoscope (cool), and watching a little TV. During the boob tube breaks, I cooked these beans which, all in, take about 3 hours. Lovely. I couldn't find fresh cipollini onions yesterday so made do with frozen pearl onions -seems to be totally fine- and the thyme, bay leaf and sage-scented stew flecked with pancetta is really nice. It just feels healthy, and I know it'll stick to my ribs.
